Sports at BWSPS
Here at Berea West, as mentioned, we have PE as a subject which is taken by the PE specialist for the boys and a sports co-ordinator for the girls. Along with this we offer an extensive sports program. We encourage our learners to participate as much as possible.
The following are the sports and extra-mural activities offered termly:
Term 1
- Boys Cricket
- Girls Cricket
- Swimming
- Netball
- Inter-house and Inter-School Galas
Term 2
- Boys Soccer
- Girls Soccer
- Cross Country
Term 3
- Athletics
- Boys Hockey
- Boys Soccer
- Girls Hockey
- Inter-house Athletics Day
- Inter-School Athletics Day – It is at this meet where our children are taken to the ward trails if selected.
Term 4
- Swimming
For the different codes of sport we have staff as well as external coaches to assist. We embark on local and international tours to keep sport alive and on a competitive level.
Extramural Activities at BWSPS
Besides these team sports we offer a variety of other extra – mural activities.
Some being: art club, computer club, table tennis, fitness club, book & DVD club, craft club and STEM
